Salary: $46.64 - 59.27 per hour

We are a comprehensive health system with multiple hospitals and physician practices, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care. Our non-acute care services include rehabilitation and skilled nursing through various affiliates.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide professional care and assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame. This involves utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing and systematic assessments of patients' physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
  • Formulate goal-directed plans of care that prioritize determined nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
  • Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.
  • Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
  • Identify patients' or significant others' learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet them.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary functions.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Current State of CT RN license.
  • Six months of ICU RN experience required.

Benefits:

  • $60K Sign-On Bonus for external candidates with minimum of 1-year current ICU RN experience.
  • Three-year period of continuous full-time employment.

Working Conditions:

  • Significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Occupational risk.
  • Very heavy effort (exerting up to 50 lbs force).
  • Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
