Overview

As a Human Resources Operations Specialist, you will act as the primary liaison for all partners, employees, former employees, and retirees regarding payroll, benefits, HR transactions, and policy inquiries. Your role will involve addressing questions and resolving issues to ensure an outstanding employee experience while providing clear guidance and information. You will leverage knowledge management and case tracking tools to assist in responding to HR inquiries.

Work Environment

This position offers remote work flexibility. Candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance to the home office and must be able to work during designated hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact for Human Resources, ensuring that the AskHR experience meets our standards of operational excellence.
  • Assist managers and employees in navigating HR systems and executing business process transactions.
  • Support daily operations across various HR functions, including HR Operations, Total Rewards, and Employee Relations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and Centers of Excellence to execute tasks and meet key deliverables within established service level agreements.
  • Investigate and resolve HR cases using case management systems, documenting details and resolutions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company benefit plans, including health insurance and retirement plans, to effectively respond to inquiries.
  • Follow departmental standard operating procedures to ensure data integrity within HR systems and a consistent employment experience.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, knowledge base articles, and FAQs for all areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by maintaining employee personnel records and other HR documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the scope of work, proposing solutions to enhance HR support for employees and managers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications

Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear explanations to individuals at all levels and handle sensitive information with discretion. A preference for candidates with 2+ years of experience in benefits administration and HR policy management. Demonstrated curiosity in understanding processes, asking relevant questions, and knowing when to escalate issues. Ability to enhance operational efficiency and meet deadlines. A strong customer service orientation focused on delivering an exceptional employee experience, including prompt responses to requests. Ability to work effectively within a high-performance team with minimal supervision. Commitment to continuous self-improvement and quality work. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) is required; experience with HR systems is preferred.

Minimum Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field
Minimum Experience
  • 2 years of experience in an HR administrative support role
