Automotive Office Clerk Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Automotive Office Clerk to join our team at LADGOV CORPORATION. As an Automotive Office Clerk, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our office staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tabulate and post data in record books
  • Compile records and reports
  • Compute wages, taxes, and premiums
  • Record orders for merchandise or service
  • Provide information to customers, claimants, employees, and sales personnel
  • Interview dissatisfied customers and adjust complaints or refer to appropriate dealership employee for resolution
  • Prepare, issue, and send out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements, and checks
  • Receive and count cash
  • Prepare stock inventory
  • Operate office machines such as computers, typewriters, adding machines, calculators, and copiers
  • Open and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail
  • Purchase supplies
  • Maintain a professional appearance and neat work area
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in the automotive field
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
