Job Description

The Diesel Mechanic Technician A - 3rd Shift will be responsible for maintaining and repairing company fleet diesel equipment to ensure safe operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnostics and repairs of medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, refrigeration units, convertor dollies, and maintenance vehicles under minimal supervision.
  • Completing overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/repairs of fleet diesel equipment.
  • Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in refrigeration &/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions.
