About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Northwell Health. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Takes initial patient histories, conducts thorough physical examinations, and initiates appropriate plans of care.
  • Documents and communicates treatment plans, ensuring seamless coordination with attending physicians, residents, and nursing staff.
  • Performs daily patient rounds, writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests, and interprets results accordingly.
  • Confers with healthcare providers to ensure optimal quality of patient care and maintains accurate records.
  • Upon discharge, prepares comprehensive summaries, prescriptions, and referrals, and educates patients on necessary post-discharge care instructions.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field with specific certifications and licenses in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $140,000-$220,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
