FEMA Mitigation Regional Lead

Job Summary
ICF is seeking a Regional Lead to support a federal agency focused on building resiliency in communities across the U.S. Your work will contribute to ensuring communities and tribal nations increase resiliency and reduce risk from disasters and natural hazards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team working with local communities and tribal nations to increase community resilience and support coordination with other entities involved in resilience efforts for a dedicated geographic region.
- Coordinate staff at the regional level to align community engagement efforts with federal goals and objectives.
- Oversee a team of technical experts who inform resilience planning and project design.
- Support briefing, reporting, and coordinating activities to track and measure resilience efforts.
- Ensure that all laws, rules, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are met.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hazard mitigation, resilience planning, and/or project management
- Minimum of 3 years working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency or other federal agency
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Knowledge of federal and state disaster management and resilience programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with experience in resilience and mitigation planning
- Knowledge of community resilience, risk management, and risk reduction methodologies
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and government agencies
