Job Description

As a Field Service Technician at Tarkett, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer excellence by traveling to customer locations to address field repairs and maintenance issues. You will work closely with the Field Service Supervisor and regional customer coordinator to plan your schedule and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer locations to address field repairs and maintenance issues
  • Diagnose field problems and relay information to the Customer Service and Field Service coordinators
  • Expedite customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes
  • Coordinate sales efforts with regional customers
  • Fill out detailed reports and keep records of services provided
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Provide detailed log of work done when not linked to a repair or maintenance job
  • Promote and sell field maintenance and maintenance equipment to existing customers and prospective customers

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; min. 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience an asset.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with computers and intermediate level of MS Office Suite; SharePoint.
