Construction Laborer Position with Daily Pay

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit individual to fill the role of Construction Laborer. This position offers a competitive daily pay rate of $14 per hour, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for short-term or long-term career growth.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting various construction and industrial companies in Columbia and surrounding areas. This role involves general labor tasks such as setting up temporary structures, cleaning up construction sites, maintaining tools and equipment, and unloading and storing construction materials.

In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will also support skilled tradespeople with their tasks, hold tools and materials as needed, dig trenches and holes for foundations and utility lines, and assist in backfilling and compacting earth.

To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to perform various physical tasks that require strength, stamina, and manual dexterity. They should also be able to work as part of a team to complete construction projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Labor: Assist in setting up temporary structures, clean up construction sites, maintain tools and equipment, unload and store construction materials
  • Support Tradesman: Support skilled tradespeople with their tasks, hold tools and materials as needed
  • Digging and Excavation: Dig trenches and holes for foundations and utility lines, assist in backfilling and compacting earth
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly, report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors
