Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Reports To: General Manager
Pay Class: Exempt; Salary
At Service Plus Heating Cooling & Plumbing, we are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives to support the company's goals, foster a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Main point of contact for employees on all HR related inquiries.
- Running payroll on a weekly basis via ADP Workforce Now.
- Day-to-day operations of all Service Plus benefit administration.
- Deliver people analytics and insight on key people KPIs on a regular basis.
- Assists the Controller with special projects related to a broad range of HR topics.
- Track and report on employee attendance and paid time off.
- Coordinate with leadership on the development and implementation of HR policies and procedure.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions.
- Lead the performance management appraisal process.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated progressive experience (5+ years) in human resources, to include generalist experience preferably in skilled trades or comparable industries.
- Experience with benefits administration and HRIS systems required (ADP Workforce Now experience preferred).
- Ability to create, maintain and communicate project plans to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust.
- Comfortable making level appropriate decisions independently.
- Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field or 5+ years HR Generalist experience.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing).
- Manual dexterity required to use computers and general office equipment.
