Job Description

Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Reports To: General Manager

Pay Class: Exempt; Salary

At Service Plus Heating Cooling & Plumbing, we are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives to support the company's goals, foster a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Main point of contact for employees on all HR related inquiries.
  • Running payroll on a weekly basis via ADP Workforce Now.
  • Day-to-day operations of all Service Plus benefit administration.
  • Deliver people analytics and insight on key people KPIs on a regular basis.
  • Assists the Controller with special projects related to a broad range of HR topics.
  • Track and report on employee attendance and paid time off.
  • Coordinate with leadership on the development and implementation of HR policies and procedure.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead the performance management appraisal process.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated progressive experience (5+ years) in human resources, to include generalist experience preferably in skilled trades or comparable industries.
  • Experience with benefits administration and HRIS systems required (ADP Workforce Now experience preferred).
  • Ability to create, maintain and communicate project plans to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust.
  • Comfortable making level appropriate decisions independently.
  • Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field or 5+ years HR Generalist experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing).
  • Manual dexterity required to use computers and general office equipment.
