About the Role
The Keene Family YMCA seeks a dedicated and passionate Childcare Lead Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that promotes youth development, social responsibility, and healthy living.

Job Description
This is a full-time position responsible for providing direction and implementing program curriculum. The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Design and implement daily lesson/activity plans that align with the YMCA's values and goals.
  • Supervise children and classroom activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
  • Participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and training sessions.

Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
  1. Have at least 18 ECE Credits or equivalent experience.
  2. Hold CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
  3. Complete a health form within 30 days of hire date and renew every 3 years.
  4. Have at least 1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting (preferred).
  5. Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
