Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a leading grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in the Midwest, seeks a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an essential member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on large production machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

About the Job

This is a full-time position working on the second shift, with a salary range of $23.90-$32.30 per hour, depending on experience. Our company offers a competitive benefits package, including employer-paid health insurance, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Clean and maintain equipment, including lubricating moving parts and replacing worn or damaged components
  • Record and report any necessary repairs or replacements to management
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure seamless operation of production equipment
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to reduce downtime and increase productivity
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or repair work
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights greater than 20 feet
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
