Job Overview

HueDx is a pioneering technology platform revolutionizing the development and launch of rapid, quantitative, assay-based diagnostic tests. With our cutting-edge solution, you can produce tailored diagnostic results in seconds using your mobile phone camera and a HueCard. Our innovative approach eliminates the need for labs, expensive equipment, or complicated sample collection.

We are seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Vision Specialist to join our team and work on creating an industry-leading suite of computer vision tools. This individual will collaborate closely with our Director of Data Science and Machine Learning, chemists, chemical engineers, developers, and mechanical engineers to bring intelligent automation to various CV tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Image Processing Pipelines: Create experimental, test, and production-worthy code for image processing pipelines, tooling, and production environment architecture in AWS using Python. Develop tools for maintaining, testing, and evaluating pipeline effectiveness in production, test, and development environments.
  • Own Data Workflows: Design end-to-end workflows for ML-based solution architectures, including data definition, preparation, augmentation, selection, robustness checks, and cloud storage.
  • Plan Ahead: Anticipate future product needs and understand practical, realistic product requirements for real-world applications involving complex data science.
  • Scientific Investigation: Maintain high scientific rigor, adhering to the highest standards of scientific exploration, record keeping, data presentation, and communication. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly FDA approval.
  • Launch Products: Produce software used in deployed products, requiring an understanding of the product development lifecycle and mindset. Manage triaging bugs, planning new features, and understanding compromises.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field with a quantitative emphasis.
  • At least 3 years of industry experience.
  • Expertise in OpenCV or SKImage, SKLearn, TensorFlow/PYTORCH, or other deep learning frameworks.
  • Familiarity with classical CV techniques (image registration, contour detection, color correction) as well as modern DNN-based approaches (image classification, segmentation, object detection).
  • Experience working in non-RGB color space (HSL, HSV, LAB, XYZ, etc.).
