Nurse Genetic Counselor Position at Alamance Regional Medical Center

About the Job:
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled and certified genetic counselor to join the team at Alamance Regional Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality genetic counseling services to patients, including assessments, testing, and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of recent experience in cancer genetics and hold a Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) credential. They will also need to be credentialed and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- CLINICAL CANCER EXPERIENCE
- NC genetic counseling license
- 2-3 years recent experience in cancer genetics
- Prefer experience with large genetic testing panels
- Prefer experience with Virtual sessions/telehealth
Working Conditions:
The position requires flexibility and adaptability, as the candidate may work from home on occasion and staff their own clinic. The schedule consists of 5x8s, days, 8a-5p (variable, may work 7a-4p some shifts), Monday-Friday, no weekends or call.
Compensation Package:
The salary for this position is estimated at $85,000-$95,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, candidates can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
