Job Summary

Regional Transit Service (RTS) is seeking a skilled Bus Driver to transport customers over specified routes in Wyoming County. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a bus or other revenue service vehicle to transport customers over specified routes in a safe and timely manner.
  • Assist customers with boarding and debarking the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Record activities on a trip log and report any malfunctions or issues to the relevant authorities.
  • Inspect the vehicle before departure to ensure it is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Valid NY State Commercial Driver's License (Class A, B, or C) with passenger endorsement highly preferred.
  • Clean driving record and at least 5 years of regular Class D driving experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Availability to work occasional weekend and evening shifts.
Working Conditions

The Bus Driver will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner. The role requires sitting for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, and lifting of up to 10 pounds. The employee will be exposed to natural environmental conditions, fumes, noise, and vibration.
