Associate Account Executive

Independence Blue Cross is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Associate Account Executive to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with external customers, clients, consultants, and brokers in the under 1,000 retention segment.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Account Sales Reps and Functional Management to manage external customer/client/consultant/broker relationships.
- Assist Account Sales Rep in developing and executing sales strategies for each group customer or prospect.
- Participate in sales meetings, presentations, and site visits to cultivate account relationships with Group Leaders, Consultants, Brokers, and Members.
- Work with Account Sales Rep and Account Support Representative to ensure that all sales and account-related issues are addressed.
- Build effective relationships with customers/clients/consultants/brokers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Develop high-level expertise with the Sales competencies to ensure they are modeling the ideal behaviors and skills.
- Work collaboratively with Functional Management, Account Sales Rep, and segment partners to understand and meet all strategic initiatives and goals within the segment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years' work experience, preferably in sales or a fast-paced environment where building relationships/repeat customers is essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and facilitate presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a high-volume, highly visible, deadline-oriented environment.
- Flexibility in a variety of settings and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills.
- Ability to analyze data and provide solutions.
- Excellent customer and broker/consultant relationship skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with functional areas within the segment.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Able to work independently with a drive to excel.
- Knowledge of medical & ancillary products, services, and administration preferred.
- Health insurance experience preferred.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management packages, such as ROAM, strongly preferred.
