Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Level I

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist Level I to join our team in Evergreen Park, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform ultrasound procedures, position patients, and operate equipment to obtain high-quality scans. The successful candidate will work closely with radiologists to ensure optimal outcomes and provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to obtain optimal quality scans.
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment to perform procedures as requested throughout the hospital.
  • Assist physicians with recommendations for obtaining optimal studies by suggesting technical factors for procedures.
  • Deliver patient care and maintain department standards of continued quality improvement.
  • Prepare ultrasound rooms by ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
  • Utilize appropriate phone etiquette and provide a private environment for patients.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital policies.
  • Document department records, including inventories of supplies and patient statistics.
  • Assemble daily patient schedules and prepare patient folders to ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Work closely with radiologists to ensure optimal outcomes and provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
  • ARDMS Registry eligible.
  • ARDMS Registry to be successfully completed within the first year of employment.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Ability to adjust to flexible hours and work odd hours, including late shifts and on-call.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform lifting activities related to patients.
  • Exposure to radiation and ability to operate portable equipment.
  • Ability to communicate with patients and maintain a positive guest relations.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to radiation and the ability to operate portable equipment. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting activities related to patients, and the ability to adjust to flexible hours and work odd hours, including late shifts and on-call.
