Tree Crew Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Arborist Technician to join our team at Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our tree crew operations.

• Reporting directly to the foreman, assisting arborists with tasks such as collecting branches, maintaining equipment, and ensuring hazard-free work areas.
• Collaborating with a diverse team of crew members in various weather conditions.

• Maintaining a consistent attendance pattern and attitude.
• Operating maintenance equipment including trucks, chippers, and chainsaws.
• Tracking labor and equipment hours, as well as material usage, on a daily basis.
• Conducting daily equipment checks and maintenance.
• Serving as a resource for clients regarding work being performed or future work in the absence of the crew leader.
• Ensuring client property integrity by closing doors, tills, and windows before performing any tree work.
• Responsible for equipment within the work zone of climbers/bucket operators (saws, chairs, people, pets, cars, etc).
• Observing property conditions and reporting issues or concerns to the lead.
• Working as a member of a team at all times.
• Following the direction of the lead on the job site.
• Managing the lowering and felling of limbs and trees and chipping.
• Consistently wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Operating a 5-ton truck.
• Ensuring the chipper is free of debris before leaving the job site and shop.
• Responsible for fueling and running all saws prior to leaving the shop to ensure proper function.

• Involvement with snow removal during winter hours in whatever capacity required.
• Staying busy and productive at all times.
• Securing equipment within vehicles properly during transport.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
