We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Remarkable Hospice in Victoria. This is a PRN position, allowing you to choose your schedule and work flexibly.

Job Summary:

This role involves providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals facing terminal illness. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate pain management and medical care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' needs and provide hands-on care to ensure their comfort and well-being
  • Admit new patients after hours and coordinate discharges, including death pronouncements
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records
  • Collaborate with hospice physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Coordinate ancillary services such as DME, lab tests, x-rays, and transportation
  • Provide education and support to family members, caregivers, and facility staff

Requirements:

  • Must have dependable transportation without restrictions
  • Unencumbered licensure in Texas or a compact state; license from another state will be considered
  • Current healthcare provider CPR certification
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Pass background checks, including criminal history and other required screenings
  • Undergo drug and alcohol testing
  • Minimum one year of registered nursing experience; two years of hospice experience preferred
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish or other languages a plus
  • Experience with Homecare Homebase software an advantage

Benefits:

  • Negotiable salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Mileage reimbursement for travel-related expenses
