Mental Health Liaison for Rural School Communities

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Liaison to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work in rural school communities, providing vital mental health services to children and families.
Salary and BenefitsThe starting salary for this position is approximately $49,273 per year, with the potential for additional compensation based on experience and qualifications. The Center also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Job DescriptionMental Health Services
- Provide direct mental health services to children and families in rural school communities.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and other professionals to promote healthy learning environments.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students with special needs.
Training and Education
- Design and deliver training programs for teachers, school staff, and parents on mental health topics.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students and families.
Record Keeping and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
- Prepare reports for grant funding and other stakeholders as required.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a human services field, such as counseling or social work.
- At least two years' experience working with children and families in a mental health setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment
