Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Coordinator to join our team at Genesis HealthCare.

Responsibilities
  • Support new hire orientation by providing infection prevention and control training for newly hired employees.
  • Create and implement education programs in response to identified infection control needs identified through QAPI, rounding, center quality measures, or other means.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) to ensure the quality of patient care as it relates to the investigation, control and prevention of infections and communicable diseases within the nursing center.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a RN license (MPT/DPT with leadership review/approval).
  • Must complete Skin Health Team Lead orientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire.
  • Commitment to attend monthly support calls is required.
  • Must have national accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC)or be committed to complete Advanced Wound Training and national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire.
