We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial HVAC Sales Representative to join our team at Johnson Controls.

About the Role:
  • This is a remote position requiring regular travel within the territory, with a focus on promoting York Factory Direct's JCI portfolio in the assigned market.
  • You will be responsible for selling commercial HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to HVAC contractors, developing partnerships with existing customers, and recruiting new commercial customers.
  • A key aspect of this role is to increase share of wallet and grow market share by leveraging the expertise of our company, which proudly designs, assembles, and manufactures HVAC products in the USA.

Our sales leaders will provide comprehensive training, guidance, and mentorship to ensure your success. You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with customers, understand their needs, and tailor solutions that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build strong relationships with existing customers, focusing on securing new commercial customers and expanding growth year-over-year.
  2. Discuss the full range of York Factory Direct's products and programs to gain more share of wallet.
  3. Teach and coach customers to utilize all program features available, driving business growth through effective utilization.
  4. Prospect and recruit customers who fit the York partnership profile, showcasing the benefits of partnering with an industry leader.
  5. Create customized marketing strategies to support customer growth.
  6. Collaborate with market leaders and a marketing manager to drive success.
  7. Assist customers in selecting the best York products to meet their clients' needs, providing coaching on product specifications, performance, and application regulations.
  8. Negotiate prices and terms of sale, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  9. Encourage customers to participate in industry-leading training classes, both locally and virtually.
  10. Foster strong working relationships with local service managers, leveraging their expertise to enhance customer quality and confidence.
  11. Meet sales targets and set weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for overall sales, sales calls, product mix, segmentation, new dealer registrations, training, and other sales metrics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HVAC industry experience, with a focus on commercial quoting for replacement and plan & specification projects.
  • Minimum 3+ years of direct outside sales experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to use technology effectively, with a strong understanding of the sales process, cycle, and principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Strong business acumen, including sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning.
