Position Scope and Organizational Impact

The PMO Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence in solar technology projects, ensuring alignment with Moss's organizational strategy. This position oversees and supports a team of IT Project Managers working on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring successful project execution and delivery, mentoring, and coaching project managers.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 5-7 IT Project Managers, providing day-to-day support, guidance, and performance management.
  • Mentor and coach project managers to improve their project management skills and ensure alignment with PMO best practices and organizational goals.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and on budget.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to track project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues.
  • Partner with the Director of Solar PMO to oversee the execution of mission-critical solar initiatives essential to business growth and success.
  • Contribute to the development of project management methodologies, templates, and standards within the PMO.
  • Act as a key point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular project updates and status reports.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment between project teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the PMO to enhance project delivery, resource utilization, and overall team performance.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Support the Director in managing the PMO's budget and ensure resource allocation aligns with project and organizational priorities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing resource allocation and project planning.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • PMP Certification.
  • CSM and CPO certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • 5+ years of experience managing project managers or teams directly.
  • Proven success in mentoring, coaching, and developing project managers.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage complex, large-scale IT projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools like MS Project, Jira, etc.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
  • Familiarity with Solar or Energy projects is a plus.

Full-time, exempt, salaried position.
