As a skilled nursing facility speech-language pathologist, you will play a critical role in helping patients who are ill, injured or disabled regain independence and quality of life.

About the Role

You will help patients with swallowing, speaking, understanding and other speech-related tasks they need to function. This involves reviewing medical histories, developing and implementing speech therapy treatment plans, recommending equipment, and monitoring patient progress.

Responsibilities
  • Review medical histories to develop effective treatment plans
  • Implement and monitor speech therapy treatment plans
  • Recommend equipment to aid in patient recovery
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 1 year of recent experience as a speech language pathologist in a skilled nursing facility. You must also hold a degree in a relevant field and be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). A current state license is also required.
