The Stericycle Medical Waste Collection Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while collecting medical waste from assigned accounts in a safe, timely, and accurate manner. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and transport medical waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Plan daily schedules based on customers' needs by reviewing daily paperwork provided by the Transportation Manager/Supervisor or Dispatcher.
  • Follow routing software route schedules to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Unload trucks at various Stericycle and customer sites, ensuring that waste is properly secured.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating any issues to the Transportation Manager/Supervisor or Dispatcher for resolution.

Requirements:

  • Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Examiner Card (MED).
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and signals.
  • 6+ months of experience in driving shred/box trucks and route management.

Estimated Salary: $17.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The estimated annual salary would be approximately $35,360.
