About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic II to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing in Plymouth Meeting, PA. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet.

Job Overview

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues
  • Perform road tests to diagnose problems and complete maintenance tasks
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials)
  • ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license required
