Phlebotomy Technician Laboratory Part Time

Rex Lab Customer Services is hiring a per diem Phlebotomist to support our healthcare system's clinical activities. As a Phlebotomist, you will be at the forefront of patient care, performing various phlebotomy procedures.
The ideal candidate must have 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced hospital environment. This position will be responsible for night shift rotating weekend patient collections, eligible for Night and Weekend Shift Premiums.
Key responsibilities include consulting with healthcare providers/patients regarding patient care, ensuring quality and accuracy of work, investigating problems with equipment, patient results, specimens and/or workflow, and participating on teams or performing special projects/assignments.
May perform teaching and training of new employees, phlebotomy students and/or other healthcare providers. Reviews test results to ensure accuracy of reporting and timely correction of errors or reports results to healthcare providers.
Performs phlebotomy procedures, quality control and equipment maintenance in the appropriate laboratory. Monitors daily operation of laboratory work area.
One (1) year of phlebotomy experience required, or graduation from a phlebotomy program with no previous experience.
