Oversee Medical Strategies in the MA-US Region

Astellas Pharma Inc. is a global pharmaceutical company dedicated to delivering innovative and effective solutions for patients worldwide. We are seeking a seasoned Medical Affairs Specialist to lead our medical strategies in the MA-US region.

This role will involve supporting the MSL Team Lead in deploying tactical field plans for engagement with the medical/scientific community, while managing overall business objectives. As a coach, mentor, and role-model for MSLs, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of our medical initiatives.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in scientific exchange and medical insight generation. You will engage in discussions regarding evolving trends in disease state management and therapy, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local healthcare environments and dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for scientific exchange to Key External Experts (KEEs) and stakeholders throughout the product life cycle.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, within and outside of MA, to execute and support development of tactical field plans.
  • Maintain medical and scientific knowledge, staying current to enable peer-to-peer scientific exchange.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Doctorate Degree In Health-Related Sciences (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO).
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in scientific/medical experience in research-based pharmaceutical industry with minimum 2-3 years of experience working in Medical Affairs.
