About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Counselor to join our team at Journey Home, a Group Home setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma-informed care. As an Overnight Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and therapeutic environment for our students.

Job Description

This is a dynamic position that requires energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping others. You will be working closely with a team of professionals to provide comprehensive care to our students, including 24-hour support, counseling, and life skills development.

Responsibilities
  • Create a safe and supportive community for students by modeling effective coping strategies and promoting positive relationships.
  • Help students develop essential life skills such as cooking, banking, and vocational training.
  • Assist students in discovering their strengths and interests, and provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

You will also have opportunities to participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training and professional development.

Schedule and Compensation

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Schedules include rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, with time off and paid breaks.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must remain awake throughout overnight shifts to ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and pass background and driving record checks.
  • Availability to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
