We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grants Specialist to join our team at Dona Ana County. As a key member of our Facilities and Services Department, you will be responsible for managing the full range of activities required to write, submit, and manage grant proposals and other submissions that support new and existing projects, initiatives, and efforts.

About the Job:

This role involves research, writing, and submission of grant applications and external funding requests. You will identify grant opportunities and potential funding organizations, research and write effective grant proposals and reports, and review grant budgets to ensure timely submission of financial reports, billing, and other documents to guarantee grant compliance.

You will also coordinate the planning and preparation of grant proposals, draft and complete grant applications in accordance with application requirements, and prepare and comply with all components of each grant submission. Additionally, you will assist in preparing budget plans and allocations along with the finance department, process change orders, prepare requisitions, resolutions, and notices of obligation for all grant-related activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify grant opportunities and potential funding organizations
  • Write and submit grant applications and external funding requests
  • Coordinate the planning and preparation of grant proposals
  • Draft and complete grant applications in accordance with application requirements
  • Prepare and comply with all components of each grant submission
  • Assist in preparing budget plans and allocations
  • Process change orders and prepare requisitions, resolutions, and notices of obligation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Three years' experience administering, writing, planning, and coordinating grants
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Grant writer's certification

Salary Range: $49,032.55 - $81,072.70
