Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Title: Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift

**Job Summary:**

The Phlebotomist III Float represents the face of our company to patients who come to our facilities, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. As a skilled phlebotomist, you will draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

**Responsibilities:**

- Draw blood samples from patients in a safe and accurate manner
- Prepare specimens for lab testing
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

**Requirements:**

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections
- Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred
- Keyboard/data entry experience

**Work Environment:**

- Monday - Thursday: 7a - 6p
- Friday: 7a - 1230p
- 45 hours per week

**Additional Information:**

- Must be able to step in for a Phlebotomist III Float and lead one or more PSR on site
- Will be required to act as a coach, mentor, instructor, resource advisor for new employees and provide effective onboarding services to new clients
- Must be capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
