MetroWest Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider in the region, committed to delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our team in the Geriatric Psych Unit.

Job Summary:

The Patient Care Assistant will provide support to nursing staff in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. This includes assisting with personal hygiene, taking vital signs, and changing bed linens. The successful candidate will also serve and collect food trays, provide between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist nursing staff with patient care activities
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Take vital signs and monitor patient condition
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages to patients
  • Clean and maintain patient rooms and equipment
  • Assist with linen changes and laundry
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CPR certification required
  • CNA license, home health certification, or PCA certification preferred
