Job Summary

MelroseWakefield Healthcare is a leading healthcare provider in the north suburban Boston area, offering a range of clinical care and services. We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on the Medical-Psychiatric Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing psychotherapeutic interventions to assist patients in regaining or improving their coping abilities.
  • Identify and report at-risk behavior, including suicidal, homicidal, seizure, pain, fall, elopement, and other risk factors.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure patient safety by recognizing signs and symptoms of aggressive self-destructive behaviors and implementing appropriate measures.
  • Provide special patient precautions, including safety checks, close observation, suicide precautions, and constant observation 1:1.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited and/or approved practical nurse program.
  • Current license as a practical nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Current certification in CPR required.
  • 2-4 years experience in healthcare and nursing services experience strongly preferred.
