Job Summary

We invite you to apply for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position in our hospice care team. As a CNA, you will provide personal care services to patients, applying safety principles and proper body mechanics to perform specific techniques of personal and supportive care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides personal care services to patients, including ambulation, transferring, and assisting with normal range of motion and positioning
  • Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, and performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned
  • Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient's status, and follows specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care
  • Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist, and performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements
  • CNA experience within the last two years, or completion of another training and competency program before providing services
  • Current CPR certification
