Facilities/Utilities Supervisor

Job Overview
BlueOval SK is leading the transformation of the electric vehicle battery business through partnership. We are seeking a skilled Facilities/Utilities Supervisor to join our team at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage annual maintenance and repair plans and budgets.
- Monitor the facility to ensure it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Request renovations and issue purchase orders.
- Manage facility maintenance and repair performance.
- Establish and manage annual investment plans and budgets.
- Review facility investment techniques.
- Review construction drawings and make simple modifications.
- Write specifications for new construction and create construction documents for public use.
- Manage facility investment performance.
- Review and repair the facility based on requests received by the system.
- Manage and revise the facility operation manual.
- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly facility inspections.
- Identify facility abnormalities and review technology.
- Prepare reports of abnormalities to manage history.
- Plan to optimize operation efficiency.
- Manage pipes (air, water supply, etc.).
- Analyze energy usage trends by equipment.
- Identify energy-saving potential items by equipment.
- Manage monthly energy-saving performance (operating time applied).
- Conduct and oversee operational safety inspections.
- Create and manage documents on facility required by PSM/ISO.
- Take appropriate measures to improve the facility and correct non-conformity specified by PSM/ISO.
- Supervise mechanical facility construction (due to repair and extension of mechanical facilities or due to change of production line).
- Supervise employees; mentor subordinates.
- Build Team Leaders' and Team Members' capabilities.
- Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks; build and nurture a One Team environment.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis and drive change back to production departments.
- Must have the necessary skill set to have job placement flexibility and the expectation to rotate to various positions within the plant such as Production or Quality.
- Must display strong customer orientation with a commitment to upholding plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System.
- Must demonstrate the ability to execute to achieve results, while organizing and managing multiple priorities.
- Must have the ability to serve as a strong and confident technical mentor to the production organization (both hourly and salary).
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern.
- Candidate must be flexible to significant travel during the initial plant start-up phase.
- Candidate must be willing to work remotely and in-person at temporary facilities as needed during the initial plant start-up phase.
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience.
- Experience with utility equipment preferred.
- Gas boiler, NMP-related certification preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
