Industrial Operations Manager

Responsibilities- Ensure production equipment is clean and properly set up before use.
- Monitor and review visual and physical checks of in-process and finished materials according to the Production Batch Record procedure.
- Oversee production activities, prioritize individual members' and overall team achievements for policy deployment objectives.
- Evaluate team goals to ensure alignment with the company's objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between team members and other functional areas.
- Address potential issues proactively and apply real-time problem-solving skills.
- Define duties, responsibilities, authority, and accountability of direct and indirect reports.
- Develop and oversee production requirements, headcount, and schedules to determine cost-effective and efficient methods.
- Take an active leadership role in developing and implementing continuous process improvement tools.
- Change through innovative thinking and active use of process improvement tools and techniques.
- Manage planning and designing methods to improve or enhance existing programs and processes.
- Responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes and equipment to maintain proper product functionality and cost efficiency.
- Provide regular and timely reports and interpretation of results to the Production Manager.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures for day-to-day operations.
- Establish creative manufacturing solutions and standard operating procedures within manufacturing.
- Select and recommend equipment to support parts.
- Establish annual objectives for direct reports and review performance in a timely manner.
- Take an active role in identifying training needs and developing direct and indirect reports in their positions.
- Effectively conduct team meetings.
- Perform any additional tasks relating to the operation of the manufacturing department as requested.
The ideal candidate should possess the ability to build and maintain relationships, motivate a diverse team, and facilitate problem-solving. They should also have a continuous improvement and quality mindset, a willingness to develop themselves and others, and working knowledge of safety and standards guidelines.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and a minimum of three years of work experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
This job requires sitting most of the time, with occasional handling of objects, talking, hearing, and walking. The employee may use a computer, phone, and other office equipment, and specific vision abilities are required.
