Senior Surveyor

Miller Legg & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to lead our land development team. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work of survey crews and related staff. Your expertise in land legal descriptions, boundary, topography, quantities, construction layout, and as-built surveys will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the land development team.
• Prepare and manage budgets for projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, landscape architects, and environmental professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
• Direct and review the work of survey parties and projects to ensure compliance with professional standards.
• Write and direct the writing of land descriptions to satisfy legal requirements.
• Represent the company as an expert witness in court cases involving land or boundary disputes.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and evaluate the need for new equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Professional licensure as a P.L.S. or P.S.M. in the State of Florida.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
