Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting with surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing peri-operative care for patients of all ages, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Preoperatively assist the RN circulator in formulating a plan of care.
  • Post-operatively follow proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist in delivering nursing care in a manner that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination.
  • Assist in delivering care in a manner that protects the patient from injury.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare facility before September 1, 2009, or
  • Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program, or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology upon hire required.
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical tech program upon hire required, or
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist and was employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare facility before September 1, 2009, upon hire required, or
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology 2 years required, or
  • LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
