Job Title: Caregiver/Nursing Assistant

At Overlook Village Senior Living, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Caregiver/Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

Job Summary:

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and services to our residents. As a Caregiver/Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, meals, hygiene, mobility, and supervision. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe, home-like, and pleasant environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and mobility support.
  • Assist residents with meals, snacks, and hydration, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Monitor residents' health, safety, and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervisor.
  • Document resident information, including changes in functional status, personal needs, appointments, and other relevant details.
  • Respond to resident emergencies, providing first-aid assistance and arranging for medical attention as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment, including laundry, housekeeping, and linen management.
  • Encourage socialization among residents, promoting activities and assisting with events as requested.
  • Chaperone activities outside the facility, ensuring residents' safety and well-being.
  • Practice confidentiality and maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of experience providing care services for seniors.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in senior living or healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of state and federal guidelines for assisted living and HIPAA requirements.
  • Skills in nurturing, organization, and interest in working with older adults.
