UVA Health School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics seeks a full-time faculty psychologist to provide integrated behavioral health services in general pediatrics.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD or equivalent from an APA-accredited program, completed an APA-accredited internship, be licensed or license-eligible in Virginia, and demonstrate cultural humility. Post-doctoral experience in pediatric integrated primary care is preferred.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team at the University of Virginia Medical Center and Children's Hospital, located adjacent to the main university grounds. The selected candidate will work closely with pediatricians, fellows, nurse practitioners, nurses, and multi-disciplined allied health staff.

The Section of Pediatric Psychology and Behavioral Health currently consists of eight pediatric and child clinical psychologists and is rapidly expanding. This presents a remarkable opportunity to expand the diversity of our team.

The Department of Pediatrics is an extremely collegial and collaborative department with a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). Our pediatric psychologists and pediatrician colleagues have outstanding working relationships with providers in the community as well as with other pediatric subspecialists and colleagues in other areas of the UVA Health System.

The selected candidate will have opportunities to teach medical fellows, residents, and medical students, participate in departmental and health system committees, and continuing education offerings. We are especially interested in candidates who will strengthen our commitment to DEIB.

The estimated salary for this position is $100,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and tuition assistance.
