Job Description

Axelon is seeking an experienced Global Security Solutions Architect to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a key member of our Physical Security Engineering (PSE) team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing physical security solutions globally.

About the Role:

  • You will lead the technical product management of one or more physical security products, becoming the subject matter expert in the product(s).
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure the product life cycle is managed effectively.
  • Determine and enforce the product roadmap, working closely with vendors to ensure alignment with Axelon's vision.
  • Evaluate marketplaces for physical security technologies, test, and certify best-of-breed products to Axelon's standards.
  • Develop in-house solutions or leverage existing capabilities from existing solutions, ensuring compliance with all security standards and audit requirements.
  • Provide 3rd-level technical support to internal clients and businesses.
  • Write and publish designs, test results, best practices, and standards for a global audience, supporting certification of products at Axelon.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Systems, or Information Security, or equivalent experience.
  • Up to five years or more experience in an engineering role.
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Unix.
  • Ability to package in Windows or UNIX, including Linux.
  • Code development (.NET, SQL) experience, and the ability to rapidly take on new languages as necessary.
  • Good understanding of Information Security and industry best practices.
  • CISSP or other security-related certifications are desirable.
  • Knowledge of PKI security concepts, Active Directory, and MS SQL.
  • Knowledge of the project management life cycle (requirements gathering, project skills).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required in English.
  • The candidate must have strong technical writing skills and be able to communicate ideas and technical designs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The candidate should have excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working across geographies due to the global nature of the team.
