Nurse Educator- Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Nurse Educator to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center, part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.
This role offers a unique chance to enhance professional practice and quality patient care by providing evidence-based educational programs and activities that promote professional competency for nursing and inter-professional staff.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
About the Job- This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $115,000 per year.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
- This includes designing and identifying educational activities to address practice gaps and promoting employee retention through effective onboarding processes.
- The Nurse Educator will collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results and participate in research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives.
- They will also utilize their expertise to facilitate a continuous process of maturation through lifelong learning and identify strategies to enhance skill enhancement and mastery among staff members.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or other clinical field required; Master's Degree preferred.
- At least three years' experience in an acute care setting and two years in clinical education preferred.
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state licensure required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
