Crisis Outreach Team Lead

The Mental Health Association is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crisis Outreach Supervisor to lead our 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Team in Essex County. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and activities of the MCORT office, providing remote backup to our Mobile Crisis Outreach Response staff, and engaging with crisis responders to provide higher-level clinical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee staff development and activities of the MCORT office
- Assist in the development of the program's administrative and programmatic operations
- Provide remote backup to Mobile Crisis Outreach Response staff
- Engage with crisis responders to provide higher-level clinical services
- Provide ongoing supervision to the MCORT team
- Ensure training compliance for the MCORT in areas such as de-escalation, mental health crisis, substance use crisis, and suicide prevention/education training
- Provide education and training to staff on data collection and reporting
- Review and sign off on at least 20% of Mobile Crisis Outreach Response reports for quality assurance purposes
- Collaborate with the Program Director to analyze data and develop reports on mobile outreach encounters, their resolution, and appropriate transition of care for individuals served
- Provide weekend/holiday coverage on a rotating basis for 24-hour/7-day access to services
- Record keeping, reports, and documentation in accordance with program requirements
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings: supervision, agency meetings, and training(s) as assigned
Requirements:
- A Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution, a professional license (LSW, LAC), and two years of post-master's full-time equivalent professional experience in a psychiatric setting required
- A professional with experience in a crisis setting is preferred
- A valid NJ driver's license and a good driving record
- The ability to provide effective crisis response and de-escalation as related to community mental health in the community
- Able to collaborate effectively with community providers and 988 managing entity
- Knowledge of Essex County resources is helpful
