Job Summary

This role is responsible for performing specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under the direction of a licensed physician using radiologic imaging for guiding the procedure.

The incumbent will review and/or record pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data, prepare patients for testing, and use C-arms fluoroscopy and tomography to perform exams and procedures and obtain a record of data for interpretation by the provider.

Additionally, the incumbent will participate in cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures, and be accountable for keeping abreast of VMFH standards, protocols, and procedures relating to the department, and demonstrating evidence of continuing education to include department meetings and individualized learning opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image per physicians' direction and in adherence to department protocols.
  • Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing exams/procedures.
  • Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.
  • Performs incidental general office duties to include but not limited to answering phones, inventory management, inventory/stocking of equipment and supplies.
Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training; OR Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and license to practice in the State of Washington OR American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and State of Washington Certification.

Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification from American Heart Association. American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
