Job Title: Software Engineer III

A leading healthcare technology company is seeking a skilled Software Engineer III to join their Ambulatory Monitoring and Diagnostics Heart team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, with experience in microservice architectures and distributed systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for decommissioning a monolithic Java-based application and migrating it to Spring Boot microservices in AWS. A strong understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), including hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), is essential.

Additionally, the candidate should have experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail, are required. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are also essential.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree or higher is a plus)
  • Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on full-stack development
  • Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript, with extensive experience in Angular for UI development
  • Demonstrated experience with microservice architectures and distributed systems
  • Solid background in cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), including hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with regulated environments, with a preference for experience in software development for medical devices
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty) are a plus
  • Knowledge of healthcare data integration and compliance (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus
