Job Title: Interior Designer III

We are seeking a highly skilled Interior Designer III to join our team at NELSON. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate design, conceptual design, and Revit skills, with excellent presentation skills.

The Interior Designer III role is responsible for developing, organizing, and executing the conceptual design of a project, utilizing creativity, foresight, and judgment to meet project requirements and objectives through project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute conceptual design of projects
  • Utilize creativity, foresight, and judgment to meet project requirements and objectives
  • Manage, mentor, and delegate to interns, designers, and other team members as needed
  • Assist in preparation of drawings for all design phases
  • Update design documents as needed for all levels of designers
  • Develop solutions to technical and design problems following established standards
  • Prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
  • Build models for client/project team review
  • Provide research and compile data during design phases
  • Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc.
  • Participate in design charrettes and project team meetings
  • Participate in client meetings as directed
  • Participate in the construction process as requested

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited University
  • 7+ years' experience in the field of Architecture
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Advanced knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on buildings such as hospitals, medical centers, emergency rooms, doctors offices, clinics, etc.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software
  • Basic knowledge of project budget and schedules
