Supply Chain Operations Associate Manager
1 week ago
Ryder System is a leading logistics company that offers comprehensive supply chain solutions. As a Supply Chain Operations Associate Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing operational functions and making independent decisions related to material availability and inventory control.
The role involves following up on purchased parts to ensure timely shipment and delivery performance to support production requirements. You will serve as the main point of contact for all suppliers, providing direction on ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule. This includes decision-making on timing for supplier ship schedules, allowing them to push material out, pull ahead, and expedite material as needed based on inventory coverage at the plant.
You will track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to ensure no interruptions or downtime to manufacturing lines. This includes decision-making on mode and required delivery windows to ensure continuity of production. Additionally, you will coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material, requests for spot buys if necessary, and monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads for material pickup as needed to support schedule variations.
The position requires reviewing part buffers to determine if they cover build requirements and documenting and managing S and AV code exceptions (Assembly Plants) including Alarm Interval maintenance. You will also make judgments on posting inventory adjustments based on investigation and analysis and investigate and process any record adjustment requests from the previous shift.
This role offers a salary range of $42,000 - $45,000 per year based on experience, with opportunities for annual bonuses, commissions, and long-term incentive plans. Ryder offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits, including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability insurance options, as well as paid time off for vacation, illness, bereavement, family, and parental leave.
We are seeking an individual with strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, who can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
