Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Parkridge East Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care, including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
  • Utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment, such as masks, tents, and incubators.
  • Administer prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosol drugs.
  • Measure ventilatory volumes, pressures, and blood gas analysis.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.
  • Perform various duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • TN RRT license with ABG endorsement required.
  • BLS health care provider within 30 days.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
  • 1 year experience highly preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • STABLE must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree.
  • 1 year experience highly preferred.
  • TN RRT license with ABG endorsement required.
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Licensed Respiratory Therapist, or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP).

We also offer obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures, as well as a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
