Job Description

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strategic leadership, clinical expertise, and strong communication skills. As a Nursing Director of Resident Care, you'll oversee the health and wellness of residents, manage the nursing team, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

You'll work closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Health and Wellness: Provide strategic leadership for resident care, direct and monitor the nursing team, and promote the health and wellness of the resident population.
  • Medication Management: Oversee the medication management program, provide clinical training and education, and perform skill evaluations to assure clinical capability of care team members.
  • Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Track, trend, and report clinical quality data, participate in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement committee, and lead clinical quality and process improvement initiatives.

Your qualifications should include a graduate degree in nursing, current state/provincial licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), and minimum two years of RN experience, preferably in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environments. You should also possess knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods, as well as infection control practices and prevention of disease transmission.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A graduate degree in nursing
  • Current state/provincial licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum two years of RN experience, preferably in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environments
  • Knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods
  • Infection control practices and prevention of disease transmission
