Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic Supervisor to lead our team of mechanics in the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and equipment. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and direct supervision of various analytical, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.


Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanic Supervisor, you will:

  • Plan, assign, prioritize, and evaluate work done by subordinates
  • Interview and select employees to ensure a dynamic and diverse team
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and direct supervision of various analytical, troubleshooting, and repair tasks for construction equipment and hand tools powered by gasoline or diesel engines
  • Supervise state vehicle inspections, assign work to mechanics, review work orders, and report any equipment accidents or damage promptly

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Four years of journey level mechanical experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Possession of a Pennsylvania Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake Restriction (L) removed
  • Possession of an active Class 4 or Class 7 Pennsylvania Inspection Mechanic Certification
  • A valid Tank (N) Vehicle endorsement
  • One year of experience or training in the repair or maintenance of diesel engines
