Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join their nursing team as a Float Nurse. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with a unique chance to work on various in-patient units, including the Clinical Evaluation Center.

About the Role

This position offers a challenging and dynamic work environment, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to care for patients with diverse needs and backgrounds. As a member of the Resource Team, you will be part of a close-knit group of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong foundation in nursing principles and practices is essential, along with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working on different shifts and with various patient populations. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.

In addition to these key qualities, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nursing procedures and protocols, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting. Experience in a similar role or environment would be an asset, but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality patient care that meets the standards of Mass General Brigham
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and documenting patient information in a timely and efficient manner
  • Participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices and new developments in the field
  • Adhering to hospital policies and procedures, including those related to medication administration, infection control, and patient confidentiality
Requirements
  • A current license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • A BSN degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in nursing procedures and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
